WASHINGTON, Feb 25 (Reuters) - The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced on Wednesday that it will implement a policy favorable to specific license applications seeking authorization for the resale of Venezuelan-origin oil for use in Cuba, according to guidelines published on the department’s website.

The favorable licensing policy targets transactions that support the Cuban people, including the private sector, as indicated, while transactions involving or benefiting the Cuban military or other government institutions would not be covered.
