Turned a profit last year, with a net profit of HKD 113 million, and EBITDA increased 62% year-on-year to HKD 1.614 billion. Everbright Green Environmental Protection declared a final dividend of 2.8 cents, with total annual dividends up 300% year-on-year.

During the period, revenue decreased 4% to HKD 6.729 billion, mainly due to the slower-than-expected recovery in the domestic hazardous and solid waste disposal market, intense industry competition, continued pressure on disposal prices, and the company’s adjustment of development strategies, leading to a reduction in construction service revenue. Construction service revenue decreased 59% to HKD 93.681 million; operational service revenue decreased 2% to HKD 6.316 billion.

Everbright Green Environmental Protection has a total of 57 biomass comprehensive utilization projects.

As of the end of last year, the group had implemented 142 environmental protection projects with a total investment of approximately HKD 30.441 billion. It has undertaken 73 environmental remediation projects with a total contract value of about HKD 1.882 billion.

As of the end of last year, Everbright Green Environmental Protection had 57 biomass comprehensive utilization projects located across 10 provinces in China, mainly in Anhui, Jiangsu, Shandong, Hubei, and Henan. These projects involve a total investment of about RMB 17.354 billion, with a total designed power generation capacity of 1,069 MW, a biomass processing capacity of approximately 8,259,800 tons per year, and a daily household waste processing capacity of about 11,610 tons.

Throughout the year, Everbright Green Environmental Protection secured 8 new projects, involving a total investment and environmental remediation project contract value of about HKD 226 million. The group holds a total of 134 authorized patents, including 74 invention patents and 55 utility model patents, as well as 5 software copyrights.
