Crypto World News reports that on March 18, according to Politico, three European officials revealed that the White House is urging allies to help ensure the safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz and privately assured them that Trump is open to making high-level statements while promoting financial market stability. These officials said the Trump administration is requesting European and Asian allies to publicly commit by the end of this week. They added that the White House is not currently focused on specific actual contributions. All interviewees spoke anonymously to discuss sensitive negotiations. This move comes as Trump grows increasingly dissatisfied with allies not joining efforts to assist in ensuring ships pass through this critical waterway. On Tuesday, he posted on social platform Truth Social, saying, “We don’t need anyone’s help!” Even just publicly expressing support could help reassure increasingly worried investors and lay the groundwork for a more concrete cooperation framework for the Trump administration in the future. According to two other European officials, people who have recently communicated with Trump administration officials said the White House values market reactions the most.
