Yesterday, gold prices initially plunged sharply, touching around 4850, then rebounded after hitting the bottom. The day saw a V-shaped reversal, with bearish momentum fully released. Bulls gradually regained ground, closing above 4900, and the sideways pattern remains unchanged.
The US dollar and US Treasury yields have retreated, geopolitical risk aversion persists, and expectations of rate cuts continue to support gold prices. Domestic gold markets are closed for the holiday, and after the holiday, trading will align with international markets.
Spot gold held strong support at 4850, quickly rebounded to around 4970, showing short-term strength with some volatility. Key support levels are 4940-4950, with resistance at 5000-5050. This is a high-level correction, not a trend reversal.
Short-term trading suggestions: if prices stabilize at 4960-4970, consider adding long positions with a tight stop below 4940, targeting first 5000, then 5050 if broken; if resistance at 5000-5020 holds, consider short positions with a stop above 5030, targeting 4960-4950. In a volatile market, avoid chasing orders, strictly use stop-losses, and operate with small positions.
The early morning rebound in gold is strong, with solid support and clear ranges. Approach with a sideways to slightly bullish mindset, be patient for the right levels, avoid being aggressive, and prioritize risk management for peace of mind.
