At the end of 2022, after FTX went bankrupt, Binance announced the launch of a $1 billion Industry Recovery Initiative to rescue the crypto industry. After deploying less than $30 million (less than 10%), Binance stated that it had not found any projects that met the standards. The remaining funds are believed to have been returned to Binance's ledger, which can be reused for the $1 billion. I am reminded of @justinsuntron's $1 million.
