GD Malaysia Platter Concert Organizer Exposed by Artists for Involvement in Cryptocurrency Scam and Wage Arrears, Raising Serious Questions About Event Reliability and Partnership Verification.
K-Pop superstar GD appeared at the K-Spark Platter Concert held in Malaysia on January 31, alongside other Korean stars such as ITZY and HWASA. However, the organizer Machi Production was exposed by artists, revealing that one shareholder with the surname Kim owed money for film production, while another shareholder, Chris Wong, had established a virtual currency investment website years ago and solicited investments publicly, but was actually involved in a scam. The artists questioned whether an agency would truly cooperate with a company lacking event organization experience and with shareholders involved in disputes.
K-Pop King GD Arrives in Malaysia, Organizer Seems Suspicious
Foreign media reported that Korean pop star GD will perform at the “K-Spark In Malaysia 2026” platter concert at Stadium Merdeka in Malaysia on January 31. The lineup for K-Spark is impressive, including GD, ITZY, HWASA, DPR IAN, DOLLA, 3P, and others.
However, artist Huang Zhiwei publicly pointed out the concert organizer “Machi Production” in an article, urging fans and media to stay highly alert regarding the company’s recent concert notices. Huang Zhiwei revealed in his post that two shareholders of the company are involved in film debt and virtual currency investment scams, and even disclosed that some friends around him have been victimized.
Note: To avoid misunderstandings, preliminary investigations show that the event organizer Machi Production is unrelated to Machi Entertainment / Machi X run by Brother Maggi Huang Licheng.
Artist Allegation: Machi Production Has a History of Cryptocurrency Scams
Huang Zhiwei pointed out that one of Machi Production’s shareholders with the surname Kim participated in the Chinese film “Shocking Arena.” Although the film was released in 2025, this shareholder was accused of owing payments to staff and actors.

Huang Zhiwei stated that he has yet to receive his partial salary, promotional service fees, or even the hair and makeup expenses he advanced himself. The other party has refused to communicate and is currently uncontactable.
In addition to the film debt, Huang Zhiwei further exposed controversial actions of another shareholder, Chris Wong. According to Huang Zhiwei, this shareholder founded a virtual currency investment website years ago and solicited investments publicly. After being introduced by a friend to participate, Huang Zhiwei found that he could not log into the investment account, suspecting a scam. During the refund process, the other party repeatedly delayed citing technical issues; although they promised to repay in installments, they disappeared after repaying only one installment, refusing all contact.
Huang Zhiwei questions: “As a performer, I deeply believe that no artist or agency would cooperate with a company that has no experience in organizing performances and whose shareholders are involved in business disputes!”
Huang Zhiwei emphasized that he decided to make this public to prevent more people from being harmed. He also welcomes media to privately message for detailed information, sincerely hoping no one else will be scammed again.
