The world of the Meme track is much deeper than it appears on the surface. Most of the popular projects in the Chinese community are actually followers. True pioneers have long been building steadily within the Ethereum ecosystem.

Just look at the growth trajectory of the $PUPPIES project to understand. From August to September last year, the entire market was dead silent, yet it managed to achieve a 50x increase through solid community operations. At that time, hardly anyone paid attention, but it had already ignited the fuse for the entire Meme track.

After National Day, Chinese projects started entering on a large scale, looking lively and bustling, but this was already the second wave of the boom. The key crash in October caused many grassroots projects to go to zero, but not only did it survive, it continued to iterate on its products and community. At the beginning of this year, it led the rally again, paving the way for those "old-timers."

I've always said that bottom-fishing investors will never make money from the front wave; they can only eat the leftovers. The true winners have already jumped on board, and those who are only now waking up are just bagholders. This wave is about to cut the leeks again, just watch. That's how the market is—always a few people eating meat, most people drinking soup. Solid operations are truly scarce; most projects are just air and hype. Early adopters have already secured their wins, and we can only envy them. For a stray dog, going to zero is the norm; don't be fooled by those survivor bias.

I've already been drinking chicken soup, and you're still chasing hot topics here. That's enough already.

I should have known to lay low with PUPPIES at the end of August, but who could have predicted back then... Now talking about it is just hindsight.

I should have gone all-in on PUPPIES back in August. Now I regret it to death. There are really too many bandwagon traders, wave after wave of cutting leeks. Who dared to buy during the 50x surge? During the silence period, everyone was scared. During the dog coin crash to zero, many friends were directly liquidated. That's how real projects are—only those who can endure the sharp declines are truly skilled. When Chinese projects move together, you know it's already the second wave. Entering the second wave, you're probably just a bagholder. If you can survive from October, it's worth paying attention. Where there are many people, it's always too late. How many times have I said this?

The first-mover advantage is essentially a game balance issue of governance mechanisms. PUPPIES survives not because of luck, but because its community incentive design is more reasonable and has stronger risk resistance. Those projects that clustered after National Day have not established effective checks and balances, and a round of sharp decline directly exposed all their shortcomings. That’s why I always say that the completeness of the proposal process and community consensus determines life and death.
