Social media platforms increasingly risk becoming echo chambers controlled by single narratives. When a platform's algorithm and policies center around consolidating power rather than amplifying diverse voices, entire communities get sidelined. This raises a critical question for Web3: as more users migrate from traditional platforms seeking alternatives, what criteria should guide your choice of community?
Web3 promises decentralization and user sovereignty. Yet the platform you choose today will determine whether your voice thrives or gets buried. The solution isn't just technical—it's about demanding platforms that genuinely prioritize community autonomy over algorithmic control. Which decentralized alternatives are actually delivering on this promise?

Algorithms are really a poison, trapping people in information silos. Web3 to save us? Well... it depends on how it's played.
There are very few truly decentralized platforms; most are just the same old wine in new bottles.
What happened to community autonomy? It turns out it's still controlled by certain influencers with the most voice.
This generation of users should wake up and stop being fooled.

To be honest, these emerging Web3 platforms are not much better, just a rehash of the same old stuff with a different coat of paint.

This set of algorithms, isn't Web3 just copying it? I haven't seen a truly decentralized platform yet.

Forget it, I don't even want to say anything anymore. Today's Web3 platforms are just like traditional social media, harvesting users' funds.
