#巨鲸动向 Hacker Involved in Gate.io Case Recently Transfers $114 Million Worth of Bitcoin
According to market monitoring information, entities associated with Aleksey Bilyuchenko, who was accused by the U.S. Department of Justice of being a hacker linked to the Mt. Gox exchange, have deposited 1,300 bitcoins into unknown trading platforms over the past seven days, worth approximately $114 million.
Currently, these related addresses still hold 4,100 bitcoins, valued at about $360 million. A total of 2,300 bitcoins have been sold.
Aleksey Bilyuchenko has been operating the BTC-e trading platform jointly with Alexander Vinnik since 2011. The platform was accused of providing money laundering services for global cybercrime, involving ransomware, identity theft, and drug trafficking. In 2017, BTC-e was shut down by law enforcement.
The U.S. Department of Justice accuses Bilyuchenko and Aleksandr Verner of hacking into the then-largest Bitcoin exchange, Mt. Gox, since 2011, stealing approximately 647,000 bitcoins, which directly led to the platform's bankruptcy. The two are also charged with conspiracy to commit money laundering, with some of the stolen funds used to operate BTC-e.
This case has once again sparked market attention to the movement of assets involved in early Bitcoin thefts.
Additionally: According to Onchain Lens monitoring, “BTC OG Insider Whale” deposited 100,000 ETH into *An, worth about $292 million. This early investor still holds ETH (5x leverage), BTC (5x leverage), and SOL (20x leverage), with an unrealized loss of approximately $55 million.
