【Crypto World】The Base chain recently made a big move—capacity upgrade officially launched. The block Gas limit was directly increased from the previous level to 375 million Gas per block. What does this mean? In simple terms, the burst capacity has increased by about 25%, and the network’s average throughput has also improved by 4% to 5%. At the same time, Base also adjusted the minimum base fee from 0.0002 gwei to 0.0005 gwei. It sounds like the fee has increased, but in reality—a normal transaction still costs less than one-tenth of a cent. This price is almost imperceptible to users. Overall, this upgrade not only enhances the chain’s processing capacity but also maintains a highly competitive ultra-low fee environment.

It is worth noting that, based on historical data from governance proposals, although the recent upgrade of Base only increased the throughput by 4%-5%, the doubling of the gas limit should be a trade-off for incentive mechanisms – it is recommended to study their MEV allocation model in depth.

This upgrade to Base is really impressive, with a transaction fee of just 0.1 cents? Oh my goodness, the Ethereum mainnet is still just lying there idle.

This upgrade to Base is impressive; throughput has increased while keeping costs at rock bottom—truly remarkable.

This upgrade of base is pretty good. Although the magnitude isn't large, at least it's moving in the right direction. It's really great that the gas fees are so low.

I'm really indifferent to this Base upgrade. Fees were already so cheap that there's no competition, and now they're even cheaper... who cares?

Here comes the news of another round of retail investors getting caught off guard, with gas fees hitting new lows... I'm thinking, if the transaction fees are this low, how do market makers survive?
