Bernstein analyst: Crypto Assets are moving towards a "one-stop" multi-asset investment platform.
PANews March 24 news, according to Theblock, Bernstein analysts stated that as the exchange and broker/dealer models begin to merge, the encryption industry is moving towards a more integrated “one-stop” multi-asset investment platform. Analysts led by Gautam Chhugani wrote in a report to clients: “With the easing of the regulatory environment, crypto exchanges and brokers/dealers are engaging in aggressive mergers and acquisitions,” as traditional brokers seek to offer crypto tokens, while cryptocurrency exchanges plan to integrate traditional stocks and derivatives. Analysts believe that the crypto derivatives market in the United States has huge growth potential, as offshore markets such as perpetual futures are three to four times larger than the spot market. Bitcoin and Ethereum futures traded $31 trillion outside the U.S. last year, while the Chicago Mercantile Exchange traded about $2.5 trillion annually, they said. At the same time, the U.S. encryption options market is still in its early stages, primarily limited to Bitcoin futures options on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. However, as the U.S. SEC and CFTC increase their support for encryption, analysts expect the market for spot and derivative encryption products within the United States to expand. They point out that this could lead encryption platforms to offer traditional assets and vice versa, enabling brokerage platforms to provide a broader range of assets.
