Hungarian Foreign Minister: 'Friendship' oil pipeline attacked has resumed operation

Jinshi data news on March 12, Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjarto said on social media local time on the evening of March 11 that Russia has completed the repair work of the 'Friendship' oil pipeline and the oil transportation to Hungary has resumed. Earlier, Szijjarto said that Ukrainian drones launched attacks on the 'Friendship' pipeline, causing interruptions in oil transportation. The 'Friendship' oil pipeline is a large pipeline system that Russia uses to transport oil to Central and Eastern Europe. The starting point of the pipeline is in Samara Oblast in southwestern Russia. The northern line goes through Belarus to Poland and Germany, while the southern line goes through Ukraine to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. Although this oil pipeline has been exempted from EU sanctions against Russia, the actual oil transportation volume has dropped significantly.
