Lebanon reports the death of a soldier in an Israeli drone attack

According to Jinshi Data on September 30th, the Lebanese army said that a soldier was killed in an Israeli drone attack. The report said that the soldier was riding a motorcycle through a checkpoint in the Wazzani area of southern Lebanon. A Lebanese security official told the Associated Press that at least 11 Lebanese soldiers have been killed and 20 injured since the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah escalated nearly a year ago. Due to the long-term economic crisis, the Lebanese army’s arsenal is limited and has not been heavily involved in the conflict so far. It is still unclear how the Lebanese army will react if Israel threatens to launch a ground invasion of Lebanon.
