On July 22nd, Jin10 Data reported that according to a report from Goldman Sachs economists, the fiscal and trade policy agenda of the Democratic Party will not change significantly even if US Vice President Harris is nominated. They pointed out that after US President Biden withdrew from the 2024 presidential election, the prediction market implied that the chance of the Democratic Party nominating Harris jumped to about 80%. Goldman Sachs said that the chances of the Democratic Party winning the White House have risen by a few percentage points, but are still slightly below 40% in major prediction markets. Economists are now following the number of representatives who support Harris, the situation of online roll-call voting, and the swing state polls between Harris and Trump.
