Deutsche Bank: The RBA's neutral bias now looks clear

The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) did not discuss interest rate hikes at its March policy meeting. Even if there were, it was not explicitly mentioned in the minutes of the March policy meeting. Tim Baker, head of macro research at Deutsche Bank, said it was the first time since the start of the tightening cycle in May 2022 that the RBA had dropped mentioning the possibility of a rate hike. This does confirm the RBA’s clear shift to a neutral stance.
