Tokenization of RWA will reshape finance faster than the wave of digitalization in media.

Keith Grossman, President of MoonPay, believes that the tokenization of real assets (RWA) will transform the financial industry more rapidly and profoundly than how digital technology once broke down print media, physical music, and analog models. According to him, this is no longer a hypothesis as BlackRock has launched a tokenized fund, Franklin Templeton operates a tokenized money market fund on a public blockchain, and major banks are experimenting with on-chain payments, tokenized deposits, and real-time asset rotation.

The market capitalization of RWA ( excluding stablecoins) is currently nearly 19 billion USD, with most of the value concentrated on Ethereum. Grossman believes that traditional financial institutions will not disappear but will have to adapt, similar to media companies after the digital wave at the end of the 1990s. Those who lead in tokenization will be the winners, rather than trying to obstruct the trend of global finance operating on blockchain infrastructure.
