Foresight News reports that, according to the Bitcoin explorer, a Bitcoin miner (hash rate 270TH) successfully mined a block alone on Thursday, receiving the full subsidy and transaction fee rewards. Using CKpool’s independent mining software, they mined the 927,474th block and earned a reward of $284,633. This includes 3.125 Bitcoins in block rewards ($283,944) and 0.008 Bitcoins in transaction fees ($689). CKpool developer Con Kolivas stated that the probability of a miner of this size mining a block in a day is one in thirty thousand. “This is roughly equivalent to mining a block approximately every 82 years.”
