On June 19, two anonymous U.S. officials said that the U.S. military had moved some planes and ships away from bases in the Middle East that could be attacked by Iran as part of a plan to protect the U.S. military, and the two officials declined to say how many planes or ships were transferred and where they would go. It is reported that US Navy ships have been transferred from the port of Bahrain where the US Fifth Fleet is stationed, while the aircraft not in the fortified bomb shelter has been transferred from the Al Udeid airbase near Doha, the capital of Qatar, according to an official. The official pointed out that this practice by the US military is not uncommon, and the protection of force is the top priority.
