Preliminary results of the Philippine midterm elections are out, with multiple members of the Duterte family winning local elections.

Golden Ten Data on May 14, the preliminary statistics of the midterm elections released by Philippine media on the 14th showed that the Senate election of Philippine President Marcos’s camp was less than expected, and many members of the former President Duterte family won local elections. With more than 97 percent of the votes counted, the Marcos camp won six of the 12 seats in the Senate in the midterm elections. The Duterte camp followed with five seats. One of the elected lawmakers has the support of both the Marcos and Duterte camps, so both sides will claim it as their winning seat. The remaining two seats were won by other parties. Previously, data from multiple local pollsters showed that the Marcos camp was expected to win seven to eight Senate seats.
