With a projected total of 1.5 million USD in 10 days, Lauris initially thought this was an opportunity to boost liquidity and enhance marketing for the project. However, he quickly realized his mistake and decided to cancel the token sale, calling it a “foolish decision” and admitting that he had acted unwisely.

In a lengthy post on X, Lauris shared that MultiplierFun, a project that achieved impressive revenue of 445,000 USD just last week, does not actually need the funds from this fundraising round. He admitted that his initial decision went against his intuition and personal moral values, especially since he had previously suffered heavy losses with launchpad projects in the past. “I tried to convince myself that this would be good for the company and team spirit, but deep down I knew something was wrong,” Lauris wrote.

To remedy the situation, Lauris announced that MultiplierFun will refund all participants of the token sale in full, and will also conduct a generous airdrop at a 1:1 ratio, meaning participants will receive tokens corresponding to the amount they invested without any fees. He emphasized that this is not a charitable act, but a strategic move to restore trust from the community. “I want to sleep well at night, knowing that I am at least an honest fool, working with humility and responsibility,” Lauris candidly shared.
