该分析基于Glassnode的UTXO已实现价格分布指标，该指标按每枚比特币最后一次链上移动时的价格对现有供应进行分组，并通过实体调整排除同一实体内部转账及交易所余额，以更清晰反映真实投资者的成本基础。70,000至80,000美元区域此前被描述为“空气层”，该区域历史上交易量稀少。在此次下跌中，比特币从80,000美元跌至70,000美元仅用了五天时间（1月31日至2月5日），凸显价格可快速穿过低交易量区域，直至下方更密集的供应区。
