In fact, there are some strong factors in the economy.’ As Roubini made these remarks, the market expected the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates by about 100 basis points before the end of the year. While the market is nervous about an economic recession, he pointed out that similar predictions in the past have been incorrect. ‘I believe that in the past three economic recessions, the stock market predicted ten of them. The market often misjudges the economic situation and the actions of the Federal Reserve.’
