CME March cryptocurrency contracts' average daily trading volume increased by 19%, with a notional value of $7.98 billion.

Golden Finance reported that the derivatives market, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group (CME Group), announced that in March, the average daily trading volume of cryptocurrency contracts reached 210,000 contracts, with a notional value of $7.98 billion, up 19%. Of this, the average daily contract trading volume for micro bitcoin futures increased by 6%, reaching 77,000 contracts; the average daily contract trading volume for Ethereum futures increased by 53%, reaching 19,000 contracts. In addition, on the CME platform, the overall contract average daily trading volume in March reached 41.10 million contracts, setting a new monthly high and up 33% year over year; in the first quarter, the average daily trading volume reached 36.20 million contracts, setting a new quarterly high and up 22%.
