Odaily Planet Daily News Privacy project Nym plans to launch a distributed VPN that will distribute users' network traffic across multiple nodes. The VPN will have a "two-hop" structure that encrypts and directs user traffic to multiple distributed nodes, providing an extra layer of privacy that is harder to snoop on than traditional single-node VPNs. In addition, NymVPN integrates with the Wireguard protocol, which provides a stronger layer of encryption. NymVPN, scheduled for release in December, will join other decentralized VPN projects in the crypto space, such as Sentinel, Mysterium, and Orchid. Unlike traditional centralized VPNs, NymVPN's decentralized framework is designed to reduce central regulation and provide a higher level of online privacy protection.
In addition, NymVPN will also work in tandem with Nym's existing mixnet, which is able to encrypt and randomize traffic, increasing the privacy of on-chain communications. The main difference between the two is that the hybrid network focuses on improving security, while NymVPN focuses on standard online browsing. This move will help improve online privacy protection and provide users with a more secure and anonymous internet browsing experience. (The Block)
