Ministry of Foreign Affairs: China deeply regrets the damage to Iranian cultural relics and historical sites caused by the war.

When Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Mao Ning responded to questions at a routine press briefing on the 31st, he said that world cultural heritage is a valuable asset for all humanity. China is deeply grieved by the damage done to Iran’s cultural relics and historic sites during the war, and urges all parties to the conflict, especially the United States and Israel, to immediately and comprehensively halt military actions, start dialogue and negotiations as soon as possible, and bring this war—which should never have happened—to an end at the earliest opportunity.
