On March 31, Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Mao Ning presided over a regular press conference. A reporter from The Paper asked: “The Chinese side released a message about the visit to China by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dar, who is here for the second time within three months. Is this visit related to the recent situation in Iran?” Mao Ning said: “China and Pakistan are all-weather strategic cooperative partners of mutual trust and mutual support. On major international and regional issues, the two countries hold similar positions and maintain close communication. ‘We believe that the foreign ministers of the two countries will strengthen strategic communication and coordination on international and regional issues of mutual concern, such as the situation in Iran, and jointly send a voice for peace and justice, making new efforts to help bring about reconciliation and stop the fighting, and to safeguard regional peace and stability.’” (The Paper)
