CoinDesk news: On April 8, Raoul Pal, former Goldman Sachs executive, author of the book 《Global Macro Investors》, and co-founder and CEO of Real Vision, said in a social media post that: “The ETH/BTC exchange rate has now become very interesting. This is consistent with the trend of the business cycle (ISM rising) and the rise in liquidity. From the long-term charts, the outlook is still very constructive. Since 2017, ETH relative to BTC has largely preserved its value; if this chart continues to develop along the current trend, ETH should outperform BTC over time. Intuitively, that also makes sense: as a smart contract platform, the accessible market size (TAM) of ETH, along with its ‘store of value’ attribute, is fundamentally different from that of BTC. BTC primarily carries the value of total savings, while ETH can carry the value of economic activity itself. Because of this difference, the dominance of smart contracts relative to BTC will keep increasing over time.”
