Perly Bay Public Transport will cancel its 6 weekday ferry trips starting immediately and replace them with buses.

A notice from Perly Bay Public Transport states that, affected by a shortage of staff, following a review and balancing of service usage and demand, a temporary arrangement has been made. This includes trips departing from Perly Bay and Tsuen Wan at 8:10 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., as well as departures from Perly Bay at 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and ferry trips departing from Central at 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.; all of them will be replaced by buses.

First day of reduced service after ABC Estate bus holiday

In addition, ABC Bus, the resident bus company operating services between Tuen Mun and the city area, needs to cancel some departures due to manpower issues.

Among these, the two buses originally scheduled to depart at 7:40 a.m. and 7:50 a.m. will be combined and will depart at 7:45 a.m.; from 8:00 a.m. onward as well, the original four buses will be reduced to only three buses, and some will even switch to minibuses.

According to the regulations, if the estate bus operator needs to adjust services, it must obtain the consent of residents’ representatives first, and then submit an application to the Transport Department. The department says it will closely monitor the bus company’s situation.
