Trump: No Need for the Strait of Hormuz in the Past, No Need Now

On April 2, U.S. President Trump stated that there was no need for the Strait of Hormuz in the past, and there is no need now. Once the conflict ends, the strait will naturally reopen. Iran has essentially been destroyed. The difficult part is over. Iran had previously been stockpiling conventional ballistic missiles that could soon have ‘reached the U.S. mainland, Europe, and almost anywhere else on the planet.’ Iran possesses some weapons that no one believes they have, ‘and we have destroyed those weapons.’
