The supply side of the gaming industry continues to release new products, with the Game ETF Guotai (516010) soaring 3.4%. The industry's long-term potential and progress in AI applications have attracted attention.
The supply side in the gaming industry continues to roll out new products. On April 1, the Cathay Gaming ETF (516010) surged by 3.4%, and long-term industry potential along with AI application progress drew attention
Wanlian Securities noted that, from a medium-to-long-term perspective, the gaming industry’s supply side will keep releasing new products, and the trend toward normalization of game publishing licenses is solid. Combined with policy adjustments of leading companies in the industry’s ecosystem industrial chain, the industry’s long-term growth potential is ample. With the improvement of AI capabilities, the commercialization and realization of downstream application scenarios has become the industry’s main line; key areas to track include the implementation progress in AI + content creation, AI + gaming, AI + marketing advertising, and other fields. At present, competition in the AI industry is growing increasingly intense; projects that only pursue technological breakthroughs and lack a clear path to commercialization are unlikely to survive in the long run. Strategic adjustments by industry leaders suggest that future development logic will focus more on vertical scenario applications, tightly control cost efficiency, anchor on users’ real needs, and shift the development focus back to practicality, profitability, and deep integration with the broader industry. In addition, the casual pet-catching segment has been proven to have sufficient market potential.
The Cathay Gaming ETF (516010) tracks the Anime and Game Index (930901). This index focuses on companies in the anime, gaming, and related industrial chains, and selects securities of listed companies engaged in animation production, game development and operations, IP derivatives, and other businesses as index samples, to reflect the overall performance and development trends of relevant listed companies in the cultural industry with innovation and digital entertainment as the core.
