Iran reaffirms that ships from non-belligerent countries can pass safely through the Strait of Hormuz

A reporter from the China Media Group learned that on the 25th local time, Iran’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations issued a statement saying that vessels belonging to non-belligerent states can safely pass through the Strait of Hormuz. The statement said that as long as the vessel’s flag state does not participate in or support hostile actions against Iran and fully complies with the published safety and security regulations, it may, in coordination with the relevant authorities related to Iran, enjoy the right to safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
