Mitsubishi Fuso recalls over 34,000 large trucks due to software issues

On March 30 local time, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation submitted a recall application to Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, covering a total of 34,092 large trucks manufactured between April 2021 and February 2026. The company said that due to a problem with the software for the exhaust gas purification system, even if the device malfunctions, the on-board monitoring system may fail to display warning information. Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism said it has not yet received any reports of related malfunctions or accidents. In response, the company will address the issue by repairing the software. (CCTV News)
