Each-Quotient AI Express, a report from Huatai Securities says that since 2025, “direct connection of green electricity” policies have been introduced frequently. “Coordination of computing and electricity,” in 2026, was also for the first time included in the Government Work Report and raised to the strategic level of national new infrastructure. The market generally believes that coordination of computing and electricity is concept-driven speculation. Huatai Securities believes this is an opportunity for green electricity, separated from the traditional notion of “waste electricity,” to receive a value reappraisal in the AI era. Although the share of direct green electricity in the short term may not be too high, user demand fundamentally reflects the market value of renewable energy. In the AI inference era, after breaking through the chip bottleneck, the joint dispatching of computing power and electricity is expected to become an important issue. Huatai Securities believes that green electricity proactively exploring “new energy +” is an important way to solve utilization challenges, and also an innovative breakthrough to realize value-added opportunities for wind and solar power stations. Power enabling China’s AI competitiveness is not only a fusion at the level of infrastructure, but also a two-way regulation of coordinated optimization between “computing and electricity.” It recommends undervalued, high-quality renewable energy targets, including wind, solar, and waste-to-energy incineration.
