On April 1, the U.S. ‘Small Nonfarm’ data showed unexpected growth. In March, the ADP employment numbers increased by 62,000, surpassing market expectations of 40,000 and remaining roughly stable compared to the previous month’s increase of 63,000. The Automatic Data Processing (ADP) company reported that hiring and wage growth remained steady in March. Small businesses continued to be the main driver of job growth for the second consecutive month, while hiring activities in the trade, transportation, and utilities sectors continued to decline. ADP Chief Economist Nela Richardson stated that overall hiring conditions remain stable, but job growth continues to tilt towards specific industries such as healthcare. In March, while the job market performed robustly, the wage growth for job switchers also saw an increase. (Jinshi)
