U.S. officials say the United States is deploying thousands of troops to the Middle East

In local time on March 20, three U.S. officials said the U.S. military is moving thousands of additional Marines and Navy personnel to the Middle East.
One of the officials, who requested anonymity, said that the “Boxer” amphibious assault ship and its embarked Marine Corps expeditionary force would depart from the U.S. West Coast for the Middle East about three weeks earlier.
Another U.S. official said the U.S. is sending three warships and about 2,500 Marines to the Middle East. (CCTV reporter Zhu Lei)
