Hexun Investment Advisor He Mengyi: A Good Start in April, Can the Rebound Continue?

April kicks off with a strong start. He Xun Investment Advisory analyst Meng Yiyi said that in the early session, Asia-Pacific stock markets surged across the board, with everything in the red. The three major indices in A-shares all rose by more than 1% collectively. The STAR Market performed even stronger, with more than 4,000 individual stocks advancing. There were plenty of intraday hotspots, and the hottest was biopharmaceuticals. Relevant sectors in Hong Kong stocks also climbed sharply, mainly because the month’s key event—the American Association for Cancer Research (acr) annual meeting—is about to open, along with another double positive stimulus from our side’s innovative drug overseas deals and trading volume. In addition, space solar power, computing power, and precious metals also showed solid performance; several stocks even hit the daily limit up. By contrast, markets outside the region—Japan and South Korea in particular—saw even bigger surges: the Korean index rose by more than 7% and futures were halted directly with a circuit breaker. The Nikkei also jumped by over 2,000 points. Hong Kong stocks also strengthened, with AI and pharmaceutical stocks leading the gains. Overall, right as April began, market sentiment was extremely bullish. Hotspot rotation also moved quickly to keep up with the pace, and April is set to “make money by the plateful.”
