Abstract generation in progress

Golden Finance reports that on April 2, the trading platform eToro announced that it has officially launched crypto asset trading services in New York, about three years after it obtained the BitLicense. The first batch will list around 20 crypto assets; later, it plans to gradually expand to more tokens and introduce features such as staking.
By contrast, in other markets worldwide, eToro typically offers trading of more than 100 crypto assets. eToro received a BitLicense from the New York State Department of Financial Services in February 2023. Since the license was introduced in 2015, its approvals have been stringent—fewer than 40 entities have been approved—and not all licensed companies actually conduct business. The company said that after the FTX event, regulatory scrutiny was significantly increased, which led to longer launch timelines.
