The U.S. executes manned lunar mission rocket launch

Local time on the evening of the 1st, the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s new lunar rocket, the “Space Launch System,” lifted off from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida to carry out the crewed Moon-orbit mission “Artemis 2.”

This is the first time the United States has sent humans to the Moon since 1972.
