On March 28, at the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Meeting “Hard Technology Investment and Development” forum, investors, scientists, entrepreneurs, and experts gathered to discuss new trends in hard-technology investment.

Liang Gui, the former executive vice governor of Jiangxi Province, delivered a speech titled “The Momentum of AI and the Way of Clusters—The Era Mission of International Science and Technology Innovation Centers,” offering an in-depth analysis of how the technological revolution in artificial intelligence is reshaping public policy frameworks. Hu Xiaodong, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a professor at Harbin Institute of Technology, spoke under the title “Development and Opportunities of Composite Materials,” discussing the latest breakthroughs and industrialization prospects for special-environment composite materials in strategic fields such as aerospace and deep-sea exploration. Yao Yugui, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the dean of the School of Physics at Beijing Institute of Technology, delivered a talk titled “Physics-Based Integration with AI to Empower Bulk Materials—General-Purpose Intelligent Inspection Technology for Multimodal Spectroscopy,” showcasing disruptive applications arising from the cross-integration of artificial intelligence and basic science in the industrial quality inspection sector.

Guests at the forum also held in-depth discussions on topics including global hard-technology investment trends, cross-border technology transfer, and opportunities in emerging markets, contributing insights toward building an open and collaborative global hard-technology investment ecosystem.

At the forum venue, the Zhongguancun Development Group signed strategic cooperation agreements with Harbin Institute of Technology and the Beijing Stock Exchange, respectively. During the project signing and deal-landing segment, Zhongguancun Capital and seven hard-technology companies—Tai Chu ZhiCe, Tongren Intelligent, Shali Bio, Ao Shuo New Energy, BiaoDu Quantum, XingYu Technology, and BenMo Technology—reached cooperation agreements to implement investments in Beijing.

The forum is jointly hosted by the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Zhongguancun Administration Committee, the Beijing Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Zhongguancun Development Group, and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) Investment. The forum provides an important platform for serving the development of new-quality productive forces with new-quality capital, helping Beijing’s (Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei) international science and technology innovation center move to a new level.
