Hexun Investment Advisor Ge Hongliang: Commercial spaceflight, can it rise tomorrow?
Can commercial spaceflight still rise tomorrow? According to Hexun Investment Advisory Ge Hongliang’s analysis, there is a short-term opportunity. The logic for the medium to long term is even stronger. The logic for commercial spaceflight is enough to be summed up in three words: “commercial spaceflight.” As for launching satellites—if we look farther out, from 2025 to 2030, China is going to launch 16,000 satellites. In just 2030 alone, it needs to launch 8,600. If we look nearer, there is already a large batch of launch plans in April. There are three core directions. Let me break them down for everyone. The first is rocket and satellite manufacturing. It mainly hinges on breakthroughs in reusable rocket engine technology, as well as the scale effect brought by mass production of satellites. The second is satellite communications. In application scenarios such as remote areas or maritime use, the commercialization of satellite communications can be implemented. This is not just painting you a picture. The third direction—which I think is the most worth focusing on—is space photovoltaics and space computing. Spespace has already started purchasing from our photovoltaic companies, and Beijing is also planning space computing data centers. The space this creates is not only within commercial spaceflight itself, but also extends to the photovoltaic and lithium-battery supply chains. In the coming April, there are opportunities to get involved in these areas as well.
Overall, the main surge trend in commercial spaceflight in April and May is definitely something to look forward to. What’s most important right now is to have patience—wait for something, and wait for the right foot of the double bottom to be firmly set. That is our entry point. With a bit more patience, just wait for the wind to come.
