Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing Stock Exchanges Announce Qingming Festival Holiday Schedule

People’s Daily, Beijing, April 1 (Reporter Huang Sheng): On March 31, the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and the Beijing Stock Exchange announced the holiday trading closure arrangements for the 2026 Qingming Festival. Trading will be closed from April 4 (Saturday) to April 6 (Monday), and trading will resume as usual starting April 7 (Tuesday).
On the same day, the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange issued a notice regarding trading-day arrangements for Hong Kong Stock Connect under the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect and Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect during holiday periods such as the 2026 Qingming Festival and Easter. According to the notice titled “Notice on Trading-Day Arrangements for Hong Kong Stock Connect under Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect in 2026” (CITIC Trust [2025] No. 56), during holiday periods such as the 2026 Qingming Festival and Easter, the Hong Kong Stock Connect trading arrangements are as follows:
I. From April 3 (Friday) to April 7 (Tuesday), Hong Kong Stock Connect service will not be provided. Service will be resumed as usual starting April 8 (Wednesday).
II. For the clearing and settlement matters of Hong Kong Stock Connect trading, they will be handled according to the arrangements of China Securities Depository and Clearing Co., Ltd.
