Israeli opposition parties criticize the government for multi-front operations; senior officials say the IDF is under severe pressure

Local time on March 26, Lapid, the leader of Israel’s opposition, accused the government of pushing military action in multiple directions at the same time, causing a shortage of manpower, and said it was driving the country toward a “security disaster.” Earlier, Israel Defense Forces Chief of the General Staff Zomir had warned that the army was heading toward internal breakdown. Speaking on television on the 26th, the leader of the opposition “There Is a Future” party and former Prime Minister Lapid said that the government, without a clear strategy and with a severe shortage of troops, has involved the military in multi-front combat, putting the Israel Defense Forces under excessive pressure. He also pointed out that the current situation is weakening the country’s national security and defense capabilities and driving the country toward a “security disaster.” (CCTV News)
