Golden Finance reports that on April 2, local time April 1, Iranian President Pezeshkian issued an open letter to the American people. In the letter, Pezeshkian said that sanctions, war, and aggression must not be underestimated for the harm they cause to the lives of the Iranian people. Attacking Iran’s key infrastructure—including energy and industrial facilities—constitutes a war crime. Pezeshkian further questioned whether the United States’ current policies truly align with the core interests of “America First.” He said that the United States has effectively become Israel’s proxy, carrying out strikes against Iran; its policies are deeply influenced by and manipulated by the Israeli regime. He added that Israel, through deliberately fabricating the “Iran threat narrative,” is trying to divert global society’s attention from the crimes it has committed in Palestine.
