U.S. crude oil futures closed above the $100 mark for the first time since 2022, and Brent crude is expected to record the largest monthly gain in history.

WTI May crude oil futures rose $3.24, up 3.25%, to $102.88 per barrel, the first close above the psychologically important $100 whole-dollar mark since July 2022. Brent May crude oil futures rose $0.21, up more than 0.18%, to $112.78 per barrel. Middle East Abu Dhabi Murban crude oil futures rose 2.24%, to $119.79 per barrel. NYMEX April natural gas futures closed at $2.8870 per million BTU. NYMEX April gasoline futures closed at $3.3515 per gallon, and NYMEX March heating oil futures closed at $4.3643 per gallon.
