Abstract generation in progress

The Golden Pass LNG joint venture between QatarEnergy and Exxon Mobil Corp. has begun liquefied natural gas production from its first train in Texas. This facility, located near the Texas-Louisiana border, is poised to become a significant source for U.S. LNG exports, with global exports from the 18 million tons per annum project expected to commence in the second quarter of this year. The project’s completion is timely, given recent damage to Qatar’s Ras Laffan facility.
