Bitcoin has recently fallen about 50% from its October all-time high, significantly narrowing the decline compared to the 80%-90% drop after previous peaks. Analysts from Fidelity and AdLunam attribute this to Bitcoin's maturation, noting that increased liquidity, greater participation from institutional investors through ETFs, and its evolving role as a portfolio diversification tool enable risk-adjusted returns to improve without substantially increasing downside risk. Although some, like Bloomberg's Mike McGlone, warn that Bitcoin could retrace to around $10,000, others believe that the current market size has reduced the likelihood of an extreme crash.
