Our country's research team achieves a new breakthrough in novel thin-film photovoltaic research

Reporter today (March 25) learned from the Chinese Academy of Sciences that recently, the Meng Qingbo team from the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences again achieved a breakthrough in the performance of a new type of thin-film photovoltaic copper zinc tin sulfide selenide (CZTSSe). It raised the cell’s authoritative certified efficiency to 16.6% and completed the development of high-performance flexible batteries and modules, indicating that China has crossed a key threshold for industrialization in the new photovoltaic field.
