"Chow Tai Seng store sells Chow Tai Kin rings" The involved jewelry store has returned the goods and compensated, and the person in charge responded
According to media reports, recently, a woman named Wu from Jiangsu (her surname is withheld) complained online that the gold ring she bought at a Zhoudasheng store had a steel stamp on the inside that actually read “Zhoudajin.”
A ring stamped with “Zhoudajin”
Wu explained that on February 21, she and her best friend went to a Zhoudasheng store in Taizhou, Jiangsu, to buy a gold ring, paying 7,300 yuan. Because she felt the ring size was too large, she wanted to exchange it at the store, and her best friend also decided to buy this same ring. On the 22nd, after they arrived at the store, the staff said the store didn’t have an appropriate ring size, but they could request stock from the headquarters.
Previously recorded video
On February 27, Wu’s husband picked up the new ring at the store. When Wu returned home, she found that the warranty card had no gram weight listed, the amount was also incorrect, and the ring had no hang tag. On March 1, the store issued a new warranty card again. Based on her trust in the Zhoudasheng brand, she only rechecked the gram weight because there was no need to dwell on the hang tag issue.
The store says the stamp was wrong
What Wu didn’t expect was that a few days later, she accidentally noticed that the wording on the inner ring read “Zhoudajin.” After asking her best friend, she found that the steel stamp inside her best friend’s ring also read “Zhoudajin.” Wu believed that what she bought was definitely not an authentic product, and she wanted the store to compensate her according to the “tripled compensation if proven fake” standard.
On March 29, the reporter contacted Wu. She said that through coordination by the market regulation authority, an agreement has now been reached. The store refunded the original 7,300 yuan for the ring and additionally compensated 12,000 yuan; her best friend’s ring was refunded 5,319 yuan, with an additional compensation of 9,000 yuan. The reporter, on the platform of the Black Cat Complaints 【Download the Black Cat Complaints client】, noticed that at 17:14 on March 25, after receiving the transfer for just over two minutes, the complainant confirmed that the complaint had been completed.
Store refund transfer record
The reporter later also contacted the person in charge of the store involved. He stated that, because the customer was being pressed too urgently, they transferred the same model of ring from his own Zhoujajin store, and the matter has already been resolved through the official platform.
The reporter also called the Zhoudasheng 400 customer service hotline. The person answering said they hadn’t received any related reports. The reporter contacted the market regulation department of the Gaogang District multiple times as well, but no one answered.
