Guangxi University’s Associate Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor Zeng Dongmei delivered a special lecture

To further deepen education and teaching reform, enhance the research capability of teachers at Guangxi Vocational Normal College in education and teaching reform, and improve the cultivation and application level of teaching achievements, recently, Guangxi Vocational Normal College specifically invited Zeng Dongmei, an associate professor of Guangxi University and a Ph.D. supervisor, to come to campus and deliver a special lecture titled “Planning and Accumulation: Tips for Applying for Education Reform Projects and Cultivating Teaching Achievements.”

During the lecture, Zeng Dongmei focused on key topics such as the meaning of education and teaching reform research projects, the funding application process, and the application for teaching achievement awards. Combining her years of research experience and practical accumulation, she systematically explained the core characteristics of education reform projects, scientific topic selection strategies, crucial points for applications, and effective pathways for achievement cultivation. She emphasized in particular that the application and implementation of education reform projects must closely follow the national education policy orientation, focus on the core goal of improving the quality of talent cultivation, and highlight the practical, innovative, and value-for-promoting-and-applying aspects of the project—only then can education reform projects genuinely play a role in promoting the quality of education and teaching.

To help the attending teachers grasp application techniques more intuitively, Zeng Dongmei analyzed multiple typical cases, delving into the key elements of successful outcomes and common misconceptions in critical stages of education reform project application documents, such as topic selection and the intent behind it, scheme design, distilling the core ideas, and presenting results. She precisely identified the project’s core competitiveness for securing funding, and provided specific, actionable suggestions on how to avoid application risks and improve the chances of successful applications.

The content of this special lecture was rich in detail and highly targeted. It not only built a platform for the school’s teachers to learn and exchange, and provided professional and systematic guidance for applying for teaching achievements, but also helped young teachers deepen their understanding of education and teaching reform, broaden their research thinking on education reform, and lay a solid foundation for the subsequent high-quality cultivation of teaching achievements at our school and the efficient advancement of education reform project applications. It has also injected new momentum into the high-quality development of the school’s teaching achievement awards. (Zhong Bo)
