A major steel mill in Indonesia raises stainless steel coil prices by $30.

According to SMM, an Indonesian leading stainless steel producer has officially raised its opening price by $30 per ton (about 208 RMB per ton). This price increase mainly reflects ongoing cost pressure on the raw materials side, especially the recent firm performance in nickel and ferrochrome prices, as well as a partial tightening of spot market circulating resources. As one of the world’s major producers, this decisive adjustment by the mill is expected to provide strong cost-floor support for the broader Asian stainless steel market.
